Sand Rock May 2016

I moved to Atlanta in March 2016, started climbing in April  at a local gym, and went on my first climbing trip outside in May.  Someone I met at the gym took me to Sand Rock, Alabama (Cherokee Rock Village).  We camped one night and climbed during the day.

Beautiful spot to camp, and lots of accessible climbs, with short, easy hikes to the starts.  We parked maybe 100ft from the camp site, and there was a shower room a 2 minute walk up the road.


That was before I got addicted and started photographing every part of every trip, so I just have this gorgeous shot of where we camped.
